Only 15 minutes from Cobargo on the far south coast of NSW, Bunnerong Cottage and Wynsted Bunkhouse offer guests a peaceful and private retreat on "Illawambra" one of the areas oldest farming properties, first settled in the 1860's.

Historic Bunnerong Cottage

Bunnerong Cottage provides the perfect setting for a romantic getaway for two. Dating back to the early 1900's when it began life as the holiday cottage for the original farm owners, it is steeped in history and charm. The Pedens were one of the first settlers in the Cobargo area so many of the trees in the park-like garden around the cottage are over 100 years old. The cottage features polished timber floors, a charming double bedroom, lounge/dining with TV/video/CD, sofa-bed and wood fire, a fully equipped kitchen (including microwave), bathroom with claw bath and washing machine, and a restful front porch and garden BBQ.

Inside you'll appreciate the convenience of modern appointments coupled with the charm and romance of olden day furniture. Fully self-contained, the cottage comes complete with linen (not provided for group bookings which include Wynsted Bunkhouse), towels, CD, TV and dvd/video.

A breakfast basket (sufficient for 1-2 days) is available for $25 additional to the tariff, and comes complete with fresh farm eggs, bacon, delicious fresh bread, cereals and other goodies (not provided group bookings which include Wynsted Bunkhouse).

You are welcome to wander the many walking trails on the 860 acre property, paddle in the creek, explore the adjacent Wadbilliga National Park and nearby historic towns and

Bunnerong Cottage
$110 per night per couple (min 2 nights)
$130 one night only per couple

Longer Stay Reduced Rates
4 to 6 nights the rate reduces to $95 per night per couple
7 and over the rate reduces to $90 per night

Wynsted Bunkhouse
*These rates apply only if the bunkhoue is booked in addition to the cottage.
$35 per adult and child over 12 per night
$25 per child under 12 per night
Children 3 and under free.
Please note that sheets, towels and breakfasts are not supplied for the bunkhouse.

Concessions apply for groups over 8.

Pets
Vaccinated, friendly dogs welcome (male dogs must be desexed).
Horses $10 per night - own yard.

School & Public Holidays
A 10% surcharge will apply for all stays during School and Public Holidays.

Historic Wynsted Bunkhouse

Larger groups can also make use of Bunnerong Cottage AND Wynsted Bunkhouse, originally the shearers quarters and now fully though simply restored into comfortable sleeping quarters. The combination of both the Cottage and Bunkhouse provides accommodation for up to 13 people. Wynsted provided guests with a second bathroom, kitchenette and sitting room in addition to the facilities in Bunnerong Cottage which is offered as part of the package for group bookings. More...
